Social Media Branding

There is nothing more frustrating than when your well respected company gets overlooked in favor of smaller, savvier brands. It happens all the time. The question is why are these smaller brands outperforming other companies with more experience?
The Golden Ratio
Based on a number of reports, most companies are going about social media branding totally backwards. They spend the most (about 80%) on content, and the rest of their resources (20%) on promotion and distribution. These companies are not utilizing the “golden ratio.” The golden ratio is that around 20% should go to content development and about 80% should go to content promotion and distribution. The experienced team at iBoom Media knows how to make sure your messages get heard.
Moving towards an understanding of how to manage the social media branding and presence of your company requires you to know some important facts.
Every single day in social media:
  • Facebook has more than 4 BILLION “shares”
  • People upload around 45 million photos to Instagram and Flickr
  • There are about .5 million new WordPress entries created
So if you are doing social media branding the wrong way, you may be wondering why you are left empty-handed after focusing on great content? Why is there no interest in your content? Why are you not getting any shares? Where is the love from your followers??
Getting Rid of Fake Numbers

Most companies start to get excited when they see more and more “likes” and “followers” on their accounts, but did you know that about 90% of Facebook likes are fake?? That’s where iBoom comes in. iBoom Media isolates targeted followers, without getting bogged down with all the fake likes, followers, fans, and such. This gives your social content and branding the REAL attention it deserves by REAL consumers that will give REAL engagement.
Leverage of Content
That is the answer to the question of why smaller, newer companies are able to outperform bigger companies that have more money and resources. It all has to do with the ability to master content distribution and finding targeted followers who are literally searching for the exact content you have been working hard to develop.
Get your company out there where it can be heard with the help of iBoom Media

Duplicate Business Local Listings

 Duplicate Business Local Listings

 At IBoom

We have found through experience and have been through every scenario.

Customers get confused

When someone searching for a local service finds a duplicate listing and the info is wrong or multiple listings for the same business, it can cause chaos or even bad reviews for that reason alone!

Social Sharing Gets Spread Around

Local search sites allow customers to add check-ins, photo & video uploads, reviews, etc.

Local search engines then use the content in ranking, Google definitely likes continual content.

Business profiles that do this usually get shared more often than those with less.

If there are multiple listings for a business, this social activity could be all over the place.

Google Rankings Issues

Google uses the business listing information from many sources. If you have multiple listings Google does not know which listing to index.

We once had a client with 9 verified Google Plus listings all the same addresses.

We later found that at different periods the client hired different firms leaving dead accts hurting their local search results so badly it would have been better if they had zero.

Go through the process of reporting each page 1 by 1 providing a utility bill etc until they are all deleted if you no longer have access to the acct.

How does a business owner running a company find time to to respond to customers
if there are 4 listings for a location, how can the company keep up  and manage the
customer interaction. THEY CAN’T!

This may help the duplicate listing issue

Merge similar FB pages if in that situation. Also with YELP they will let you merge locations.
Delete any old irrelevant Google pages you no longer use.

Check Your Reviews WEEKLY many clients have built up  customer reviews on Google, Yelp, Facebook, TripAdvisor etc. In fact set up Google alerts.

Always TRY to make the listing with the best reviews stick.
